Barış Demirel | Concert

Trumpeter, songwriter and producer Barış Demirel comes to Komünite on 24 September at 9:30 PM.

Drawing on indie pop, hip-hop and deep house, Demirel creates a genre-defying live experience that moves freely across boundaries, both in his recordings and on stage. He has been involved in a wide range of projects, performances and collaborations in Turkey and on international stages across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the UK, Switzerland and beyond. His long-running “Barıştık mı” project took him to the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2019, followed by the release of his debut solo album, “Mutluluklar,” in 2021. The album appeared on numerous year-end best-album lists, followed by “Bi’ Aralar İyiydim” and “Dans Pisti Cenazesi.”

He has also released an EP and singles with Da Poet, one of the prominent names in Turkish rap, under the name “DPBD,” while continuing his collaborations with Swiss producer Kadebostany. Now, Demirel is preparing to meet his audience with new songs and collaborations from his fourth solo album.
